Toby Philpott

Toby Philpott was a street performer in the 70s and bought his first copy of Illuminatus! at the same bookshop as Ken Campbell, later witnessing Ken’s theatrical adaptation at the National Theatre.

He worked as a film puppeteer, for Jim Henson, on The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth, and that led to being part of the Jabba the Hutt team for Return of the Jedi, all before becoming a librarian/archivist, and studying with RAW.
